As a native Washingtonian --born in Georgetown-- and longtime Montgomery County resident, I understand the nuances of the various neighborhoods and am effective at counseling my clients according to their needs. My clients find that I am an experienced listener, artful negotiator, aware marketer, and diligent and patient property hunter. I have had great success in selling condos and co-ops, as well as houses, with over 35 million dollars in career sales. I am blessed to work closely with my father and partner, Tom Murphy, Sr., and The Murphy Team at Long and Foster Real Estate, Inc. We support each other in ways that are invaluable to me and my clients. I provide experienced, confidential, professional Real Estate service to my Clients. I am proud of the long-term relationships I develop with them as I earn their trust and designation as their "Realtor for Life." I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve my clients. It is their satisfaction and repeat and referral business which is my greatest achievement.
I began practicing as a Realtor with Merrill Lynch in 1989 in a declining market, and learned from the beginning how to make sales happen in spite of market conditions. I have worked full time in Real Estate since being licensed. My early sales were houses and townhouses in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Gaithersburg, Kensington, Potomac, Rockville, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, Wheaton, and Frederick, MD. When buyer agency began in the Washington area around 1994, I was among the first agents to become a Certified Buyer Representative (CBR) while working as an agent with Prudential Preferred Properties.
These days I spend a lot of time downtown. Our office is located at 25th and Pennsylvania Ave, NW. I enjoy serving the Foggy Bottom/GW METRO neighborhood and w-a-y beyond.
