Jay Kalagher has nearly two decades of real estate experience in luxury homes, new construction, development, green building, and in representing buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions. Following 20 years in sales and marketing leadership roles with industry leaders (e.g. Xerox and WorldStrides), Jay pivoted to a career in the central Virginia real estate market. Early in his real estate career, Jay partnered with several of the area's premier developers and builders to better hone his craft, enhance his new construction expertise, and to better equip him to provide clients with an exceptional, professional experience that ensures them the best results. Partnering with buyers and sellers, investing time and effort into understanding the most important details to each client, and working tirelessly to create a rewarding and enjoyable home buying or home selling experience is what Jay is focused on every day.

Jay is a licensed Realtor and member of the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors (CAAR) and active member of the local Realtor Political Action Committee(RPAC) focusedon protecting homeowners rights. He is an avid sailor and mountain-biker, frequent volunteer with AHIP, dedicated to American Red Cross blood donation programs, and a passionate fan of the local foodie and sports scene. A graduate of Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina, Jay has three daughters and resides in Keswick, VA with his wife, Carey.
