Known and respected as one of the Top Realtor’s in Northern Virginia, Karen Brown has been in Real Estate for over 25 years. She was born into the profession and worked under her "Superstar Agent" mother, Anita Nilsen for several years. Proud to be a resident of the area for over 40 years, Karen is very active in the community, adopting several philanthropic causes. She is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic and State University (Virginia Tech) with degrees in Marketing Management and Communications. At the young age of 17 Karen successfully completed the Virginia Licensing Course and became the youngest person in the state to receive her Salesperson’s license. As a Lifetime NVAR Top Producer, and member of the prestigious Long and Foster Founders Club, Karen has both her GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute) and ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designations. She is passionate, innovative, aggressive and a visionary who believes that the customer experience when buying or selling a home should be second to none. As a mother of five Karen supports many school and extra-curricular activities.
