Prince William County REALTOR® Cathleen Connolly sees her role as a guide, counselor, teacher, and a protector.
Her goal is to safeguard her clients' interests and their funds, while helping them achieve their real estate objectives. With that in mind, she stands by her clients from the first meeting through closing and beyond. Outsourcing tasks to another person doesn't fit her definition of personal service, nor does pressuring clients to make a decision.
A 23 year Air Force veteran, she's no stranger to moving, and to buying and selling homes. Thus she fully understands the challenges her clients face and strives to help achieve their goals with a minimum of stress. With a focus on quality rather than quantity,Cathleen takes time to help buyers find the home they'll love – without over spending.
As a retired military medical service officer, Cathleen came up through the ranks from being a medic to serving as the Air Force Medical Readiness Resource manager at Defense Health Headquarters. Her favorite assignment was heading up a Medical Control Center, which is the disaster response nerve center of a medical facility. Her role was like that of a conductor, organizing and intertwining the specialty teams to respond to a disaster – no two of which are ever alike. As one supervisor noted, she has a talent for "delivering calm from chaos."
Now she uses that organizational talent to keep real estate transactions moving forward on time and on track – and to head off or solve potential problems.
A dedicated problem solver, Cathleen enjoys looking at a problem from all angles and examining all the "what ifs" and "whys" before choosing a course of action. She's never afraid to go outside of the box to find a solution that is beyond "how it's always been done."
Cathleen holds an Associate’s degree in Allied Health, a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management, and a Masters in Public Administration. Since becoming a REALTOR®, she attained certifications as a Negotiation Expert, Buyer's Representative, and Military Relocation Professional.
When not assisting clients, Cathleen volunteers at the local hospital and a member of Military Officers Association of America. She has also served as a Boy Scout leader and an animal shelter volunteer. For relaxation, she likes bowling, completing puzzles, and reading.
She also enjoys daily walks with the family dogs - two Yellow Labs and a long haired mini Dachshund, all of whom are joyfully spoiled.
Cathleen enjoys saving money and helping others to do the same. While in the military, she was in a position to streamline expenses on million dollar projects, and did so. During the national fiscal crisis she negotiated defense contract expenses to stay within budget. When you choose her to assist you in reaching your real estate goals, she'll use that same negotiating expertise to safeguard your money.
