Diane is an Accredited Home Stager (ASP®) with a passion for architecture, interior and landscape design. Having gone through the renovation and design of several of hers and her clients’ homes, she can offer an educated eye, as well as a long list of reputable contacts and vendors to her clients. Diane is a 5-Star Zillow Buyer/Seller Agent SELLERS When listing a home for her clients, Diane takes the time to view the property, prepare a comparable market analysis (CMA), and discuss with the homeowners their needs and goals. Together Diane and her clients arrive at a price, timeline and a consensus of what, if any, repairs and improvements will be needed to get the house market ready. Also discussed is the correct marketing of the property via print and digital advertising, MRIS, signage, brokerage to brokerage communication, and the array of media outlets now available through Long & Foster. Finally, responsibilities and expectations are openly discussed and understood, resulting in a positive experience for the seller.

STAGING

Staging has become more important than ever in listing a home. HGTV savvy buyers expect the homes they tour to have many of the bells and whistles they see on TV. That doesn’t mean staging has to be another huge expense for the seller. With Diane’s guidance, and the help of the experienced team at her staging company, Lavender House, much can be accomplished quickly and on a budget. Diane has a full inventory of furniture, rugs and accessories with which to stage a house at any level. She can also advise on paint colors and give recommendations for home services and repair as well as help to organize and oversee home projects to get a house market ready. With her trade discounts and contacts at many retailers for lighting, furniture and fixtures, Diane can help to streamline the listing process for busy sellers who need to make improvements. She has many happy clients who have sold their homes quickly and for top dollar.

DOWNSIZING

Downsizing is also something with which many sellers need assistance. Diane has several sources of downsizing companies who will pack, sell, donate, discard or auction at a fair price. Downsizing does not have to be daunting—or pricey. Downsizing companies can assist a clients’ needs at any level and sometimes that is what is needed for a client to be able to move forward.

PERSONAL

Diane is a graduate of Briarwood College with a degree in marketing and communications. She has served for several years on the board of an Inova Alexandria Hospital auxiliary, The Twig Thrift Shop, in Old Town. She enjoys golf, skiing and travel and lives in Alexandria with her husband. Her two children have flown the nest.
