First licensed in 1985, Jim was a top producer for Carr Real Estate Company where he became a managing partner of the firm until 1991. In 1991, Jim joined Re/Max Family and joined the top 1% of all Realtors in the U.S. In 1999, Jim became the Broker/owner of Re/Max Gold and was inducted into the Re/Max Hall of Fame based on his outstanding production levels in sales and listings. In 2007, Jim joined Long and Foster's Media office as an Associate Broker, specializing in residential and commercial sales and listings.
