There was an increase in total units sold in April, with 737 sold this month in Prince George's County Real Estate versus 687 last month, an increase of 7%. This month's total units sold was higher than at this time last year, an increase of 7% versus April 2012.

Versus last year, the total number of homes available this month is lower by 2,157 units or 57%. The total number of active inventory this April was 1,600 compared to 3,757 in April 2012. This month's total of 1,600 is lower than the previous month's total supply of available inventory of 1,851, a decrease of 14%.

Last April, the median sale price for Prince George's County Homes was $168,000. This April, the median sale price was $185,000, an increase of 10% or $17,000 compared to last year. The current median sold price is 3% higher than in March.

Median sale price is the middle sale price in a given month. The same number of properties are above & below the median.

In April, there was 2.2 months of supply available in Prince George's County, compared to 5.5 in April 2012. That is a decrease of 60% versus a year ago.
