Raised in Africa, Abel traveled to the United States to attend graduate school at Western Michigan University, where he earned a doctorate in public administration. Abel has also lived in Asia, and more recently in Raleigh, North Carolina. His family moved to The Washington, DC area because of its proximity to their adult children, multitude of business opportunities, and ethnic and cultural diversity.
Prior to joining Long & Foster, Abel ran his own business in public management consulting, with a focus on youth development and strengthening vulnerable communities. Abel brings an intelligence, empathy and exceptional communication skills to his real estate work. He enjoys using his skills to help clients navigate the competitive State of Maryland real estate market.
As a former business owner, Abel understands business fundamentals and the economic factors that drive the real estate market. Having built several homes and renovated more than a few others, he has a firsthand understanding of home construction and the stresses of buying and selling real estate. Abel has a keen eye for seeing the potential of any property and the possibilities for transforming it into a home with maximum appeal to today's buyers.
When he's not immersed in real estate, Abel enjoys visiting national parks and museums and attending live theater.
