My father always taught me the importance of owning real estate for building wealth. I have seen over and over again how right he was. Even though real estate cycles through many markets, over that long term it will consistently hold its value above all other investments. We have seen that a home purchased 20 years ago in the DC metro area is worth nearly double its original value.
I joined Long and Foster in 2002, coming from Storehouse Furniture where I was regional manager supervising the 13 Mid Atlantic stores. While at Storehouse, I saw numerous times how much joy and satisfaction people's homes bring to their lives. How important that the place you call home should always be a perfect fit for how you live your life.
