About Lydia Benson

Lydia Chopivsky Benson's take on real estate is very personal -- she treats all first-time home buyers with the same care and concern she would give her own children, and brings respect and experience to those who have been through the process before. Lydia is also unique in her extensive experience with property management and corporate relocation, two real estate challenges oftenfound in the DC/MD/VA market.

Lydia has lived in the beautiful DC area for over 25 years. Originally from a small town in Illinois, Lydia did her undergraduate and graduate studies at Stanford University before moving to DC, and has been here giving back to this community ever since. She and her husband, local veterinarian Dr. Randy Benson, have raised their two daughters in Spring Valley, and loves the diversity of activities and neighborhoods in this great city.

One of her favorite things to do is explore DC and the surrounding areas with her daughters. From the arts and music scene (a favorite of her older daughter) to the science and shopping scene (a favorite of her younger daughter), Lydia knows and can tap into the parts of DC that spark all interests.
