She has earned her designation as a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), which is held by less that 3% of Realtors, has her Associate Broker's license, is a trained mediator, and knows how to communicate, negotiate, listen and get the job done!
Emma is actively involved in the community, having serviced on the Augusta County School Board and the Fairfield Center Board of Directors. As a native of the Shenandoah Valley and living in the Staunton area for the past 50 years, she is very knowledgeable about the surrounding communities. She also served as the general contractor when building their current home, so she has insight into the building process.
Emma enjoys gardening, reading, decorating, staging homes and traveling. Prior to becoming a Realtor, she co-owned and operated an independent bookstore, for 20 years, in historic downtown Staunton. She and her husband of 53 years, raised a son who graduated from VA Tech and is currently an electrical engineer in Richmond VA. And don't forget "Go Dukes" at JMU, where Emma and her husband both received undergraduate and graduate degrees.
