Joyce spent 28 years in Corporate America with the largest Regional Department Store Company on the East Coast, Hecht's and Strawbridge's, divisions of May Department Stores Company. Positions included human resources, operations, store management and concluded with 11 years as Vice President, Advertising Director.
Having managed a budget in excess of 125 million dollars, participated in multi million dollar negotiations, financial planning, attention to detail and follow through skills were honed daily. Direct and indirect reports totaled in excess of 100 people.
Daily management coupled with 8 years as Divisional Vice President, Executive Placement and Wage and Salary Administrator made Joyce a real people person and taught her how to listen.
Prior to her career in Retailing, Joyce taught Mathematics on both the Junior and Senior High levels in Prince Georges County, Maryland.
Joyce played and captained multiple USTA tennis teams and various other league teams. She also volunteers with numerous not for profits and is a founding member of a Woman's Finance group that met monthly to invest in the stock market.
