Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Sarah grew up in Morristown, New Jersey. She was graduated from Chatham Hall in Charham, Virginia and Bennett College in Millbrook, New York. She is married to Lee Mumford, her real estate partner, and between them, they have four children. Before entering the real estate profession with Bowers, Nelms and Fonville (now Long & Foster) in 1988, Sarah was a Recreational Therapist with Virginia Treatment for Children for almost 20 years. She is involved in many clubs, which include Richmond Junior League and The Women's Club, and is active in church and community organizations. She enjoys traveling and is an exercise enthusiast.
