Yvette Dowell

Raised in Washington, DC, and Chevy Chase, Maryland, Yvette knows DC and the Montgomery County suburbs with the intimacy of a native Washingtonian.

Yvette was exposed to real estate long before she joined Long & Foster. Her parents, real estate investors, owned multiple residential and commercial properties in the District that Yvette managed along with her three brothers. In the process, she acquired invaluable organizational, interpersonal and negotiating skills.

Prior to joining Long & Foster, Yvette had a distinguished, 21-year career as a federal agent with the Office of the Inspector General in the U.S. Department of Energy, where she worked with the FBI on high-level investigations, eventually assuming oversight of the East Coast and Midwest. Yvette culminated her career on Capitol Hill where she conducted investigations and briefed Congressional officials. After retiring, she returned to her roots, earning her real estate license and joining one of the Washington, DC area’s highest-producing teams at Long & Foster’s billion-dollar Bethesda Gateway Office.

Yvette’s soft-spoken manner belies her accomplishments, strong drive and resolve. Dedicated to her clients, she is committed to providing the highest level of real estate service and to guiding every transaction to a smooth, successful settlement.

Yvette lives with her husband in Bradley Manor, one of Bethesda’s most beautiful neighborhoods, in the heart of Montgomery County’s active real estate market.
