I bought my first condo as a single woman when I first moved to the Washington area. I knew that owning my own home would bring a sense of independence, but I didn’t anticipate the feeling of pride and security that came with it. Going through the process alone was a challenging one, and it was through that experience that I learned the "what to do, and what not to do’s" of home purchasing. Originally from Oklahoma City, I grew up working for my father, an attorney specializing in real estate and estate planning. It was there that my love for real estate began. I ultimately went to college and received a BM in musical theatre and a master's degree in education. I have been an adjunct professor at American University and Montgomery College for over 20 years, advising and guiding students as they embark on successful and exciting careers. Having served many years as a theatre director, I have a great deal of experience in design and have a detail-oriented, creative eye that can help with staging during the selling process, renovation ideas, or show you how to best make the most of any space. Buying or selling a home can be one of the biggest decisions of your life. I am passionate about helping people set and meet their goals and I know together, we can achieve your real estate dreams! Now married, my husband and I enjoy family time at our 2nd home in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. A very devoted animal lover, you can often find me on long walks and hikes with my 2 rescue girls, Stella and Esme. I am also the proud founder of DC Actors for Animals, Inc., a 501c3 charitable organization helping DC area animals through adoption, advocacy, and education. To date, DCa4a has helped over 400 animals find forever homes.
