When it comes to homes in DC metro area or major remodel, ask Kate Mikhaylova! She’s built three lake home properties, renovated her own home in Spring Valley in DC, top to bottom, and, before that, her old home in Fairfax VA. A Washingtonian for almost 25 years she knows the area inside out.
Kate has an M. SC. in Finance from American University’s Kogod Business School. Prior to becoming a Realtor, she spent over 20 years in corporate finance and development working for the World Bank Group, providing advisory services to foreign governments on oil, gas and mining development. Her job included negotiating financing, supervising contracts and procurement, and ensuring compliance and quality, - skills that serve her well in real estate. After working with clients from countries across Africa, Asia and Europe, she is excellent in appreciating diverse cultures from around the World and knows how to deal with pressure and tight deadlines.
Kate fell in love with real estate long before becoming a Realtor. She has always enjoyed residential architecture and interior design and invested into real estate over the years. She is thorough and detail-oriented. Above all, she enjoys working with people and is committed to achieving results for her clients, who say that she treats them as a family. "In the land of worriers, be the warrior!" describes her approach well.
When she’s not working, she is enjoying time with her family and friends. She enjoys running and completed multiple 5Ks and 10Ks and ran her first Army 10-miler in 2019. She is training for half a marathon in 2020. She enjoys cooking, working out, swimming, and learning about other cultures. Kate is fluent in Russian, speaks Portuguese (now a bit rusty from the lack of practice),and is learning Spanish.
Kate is affiliated with the billion-dollar Bethesda Gateway Office. She looks forward to assisting you on your next real estate journey.
