Mary Afton-Tarr is one part of the Mary and Cathy Team, Long and Foster-Burke/Fairfax Station/Clifton Office's top producing team.
Prior to becoming a real estate agent, Mary was an Infectious Disease Epidemiologist at several State Health Departments. She has an MS from the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health and a BS from Louisiana State University. As a military spouse, she understands the inherent stress and excitement that change brings when relocating, especially when buying or selling a home as a result. Originally from Canada, she has lived in many different states, traveled extensively in Asia and the Pacific, and spent nine years on a tropical island before settling in Virginia. Mary enjoys time spent with her husband and cheering on their two children in various athletic pursuits, mostly SWIMMING!
Wise words from Mary: Make sure to explore and consider the community of the homes in your search. The neighborhoods of Northern Virginia offer many amazing, memorable experiences and adventures…..lakes, trails, pools, and social groups! These things can truly enhance a homeowner’s experience after making a purchase in a new area.
When selling your home, take the time to make preparations to help you achieve your real estate goals. Our team provides superior staging, advice, and access to contractors. We make it easy for you!
Acting as a single point-of-contact, your agent can connect you with Long & Foster's mortgage, insurance, settlement, and property management experts. These professionals work right alongside our agents.
