Amy Michaels | Real Estate Agent | Long & Foster Skip to main content

Welcome

Amy Michaels has built her real estate business the same way a solid, timeless, "forever" home is built. It all begins with a lasting foundation, and Amy's is based on trust, integrity, knowledge, and commitment to her clients' success.

Since becoming a licensed Realtor in 2003, Amy's reputation for exceptional communication, negotiation savvy, endless drive, problem-solving expertise, creativity, compassion and an uncompromising work ethic makes her the agent who buyers and sellers want in their corner. The delicate components of the all-important contract-to-closing period are absolutely critical to the outcome of a real estate transaction, which just one reason why other agents enjoy working with Amy. They know that her attention to every detail of the process will be managed expertly, which is crucial to their clients as well.

Amy's commitment and tireless endeavors are further evidenced by her ever-growing list of industry awards, all based on volume of successful listings and sales. She has earned the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors' (GCAAR) Silver Recognition Award, and named by Bethesda Magazine as an annual Top Producer. Additionally, she has earned membership on Long & Foster's coveted Gold Team. Following her 3-year service to GCAAR's Ethics Committee, she now serves on GCAAR's Standards of Practice Committee, which ensures that every agent is held accountable for upholding the National Association of Realtors' (NAR) Code of Ethics. She has also been awarded as a NAR Diversity and Inclusion Champion.

What makes real estate so fascinating and exciting to me is its wide spectrum of situations encountered in each transaction. First-time home buyers are stepping into the biggest investment they've ever made, and I love educating them about the process. At the other end of the spectrum, seasoned clientsq, especially those listing or buying multi-million dollar properties, have specific challenges and needs which I stand ready to meet. And every transaction in between this range is genuinely unique. Major life changes often play a role in residential real estate sales, and emotions can run high. I work with the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality to ensure that the transition and transaction are stress-free for everyone involved".

A native and life-long Washingtonian who has lived in Maryland, DC, and Virginia, Amy is licensed in all three jurisdictions. She has experienced and understands firsthand the dynamics and characteristics whichdifferentiate the many facetsof our widespread metropolitan region.

When not marketing homes for sellers, touring properties for buyers, connecting with her broad network of other Realtors to promote her listings and to uncover "off-market" homes for sale, and managing the details of every real estate transaction, Amy enjoys mentoring other agents. "I've learned so much from my mentors over the years, and it's a privilege to share my expertise and ideas to help my colleagues as well", she says.

Amy draws inspiration from her tightly-knit family. Favorite activities include exploring less-traveled destinations, visiting "behind the scenes" places not generally available for public viewing, and creating fun and memorable gatherings and outings for family, friends, and clients. Sheis involved throughout the community in service projects and hosting charitable and educational events, and is an advocate for supporting local businesses.
