Cristina has over 25 years of work experience serving the public in two capacities – teacher and REALTOR®. She is licensed here in her native state of Virginia.
Prior to becoming a REALTOR®, Cristina was a special education teacher with theFairfax County Public School system for 12 years. She dedicated herself to teaching elementary and middle school students with learning disabilities,focusing on the area of reading. Cristina rose to the top of her profession asa National Board Certified teacher. She was in the first group of special educators to earn this distinction.
As a REALTOR®,Cristina has been working with home buyers and sellers in the Northern Virginia area for over 13 years. Her experience working with families and colleagues in the field of education prepared her for many successful relationships with her real estate clients. Cristina has an international upbringing because she was raised in a State Department family. She was born in Senegal, West Africa and throughout her childhood she lived in Dakar, Senegal, Accra, Ghana, Ottawa, and Madrid. Cristina moved back to theNorthern Virginia area in 1982. She attended the College ofCharleston in South Carolina where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her master’s degree in Education.
She currently lives in Fairfax with her husband, Dan, and their 3 children.
