Deb has an extensive sales background centered mostly around the various aspects of homeownership. Before owning her Home Staging business and earning her real estate license, she was a Corporate General Manager with a major import/wholesale home furnishings corporation. For more than a decade, she owned a wholesale antique and auction business selling to dealers and individuals nationwide. While her business was "antiquing" she bought, totally renovated, and sold three historic homes.
Earlier in her career Deb was as a record-breaking print Advertising Sales Executive for Caulkins Newspapers and Media. That experience provided the ability to know what buyers want. Whether in media or personal tours, it is about the emotion created to sense "this is my new home."
Selling a house is like Staging® the Show. Deb is an Accredited Staging Professional Master one of only 400 worldwide. Deb has owned a successful home staging company for over fifteen years. She and her team have staged over 400 homes with approximately $525,000,000. She is a member of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP®) and has served on the DC IAHSP board of directors. A member of the Real Estate Staging Association, (RESA). She has achieved the Certified Negotiation Expert, CNE, for Real Estate Sales and is currently completing the Master Certified Negotiation Expert courses.
Active in community and charitable endeavors of the years, Deb was the key procurer of major funding from the Home Depot Foundation for the Redesign of Fisher House at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.Deb and team members worked alongside fellow members of the DC IAHSP Chapter and the Sponsor volunteers during the Annual Worldwide Staging® Services Week.
As a cancer survivor Deb volunteers as a coordinator of annual neighborhood fundraising for The Institute of Cancer Research. She also volunteers and is one of the sponsors of The Danielle Mannix Team for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s in their efforts during Light Up The Night each year.
Deb and the team at Staged Home Decor and Real Estate were awarded the coveted "Best of Houzz" for Customer Service. She now does consultations, provides staging services, and authors Your Home with Deb-a comprehensive website to inspire and assist potential home sellers and buyers and longtime homeowners.
Deb resides in Potomac, Maryland at the Brownstones at Park Potomac. Conveniently just a few steps from her Long & Foster Real Estate office.
