John Loomis

Born at the old Alexandria Duke Street Hospital, John is a true native of Northern Virginia. He experienced its many neighborhoods growing up, and bore witness to the dramatic expansions and developments that have occurred here over the past forty years. After graduating from high school in Alexandria, John began his undergraduate studies at Auburn University in Alabama before transferring to Temple University in Philadelphia to obtain a B.A. in Communications and Theatre.

John's successful thirty-five year career in both the commercial Broadway and not-for-profit entertainment industry taught him the importance of delivering outstanding solutions to complex challenges in a timely and cost-effective manner. Whether working for Broadway's renowned Shubert Organization as a Treasurer for one of its major theatres, as a managerial consultant with the cutting-edge Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, or as Producer ofThe American Express Tribute for Lifetime Achievement in the American Theatre for Washington's own Helen Hayes Awards, John learned the importance of listening to individuals, anticipating their needs, and delivering excellent results.

Prior to joining the Long & Foster Real Estate family, John was a Realtor with Alexandria's WJD Associates. As a real estate professional, John strives every day to diligently work for each of his clients, providing the highest level of customer service, individual attention, and thorough knowledge of the Northern Virginia real estate market, all while maintaining the utmost levels of discretion, honesty, and respect.
