What is 'Green' Real Estate?

"Green, or sustainable, building is the practice of creating and using healthier and more resource-efficient models of construction, renovation, operation, maintenance and demolition," according to the Environment Protection Agency. During the process of purchasing, selling, or remodeling your home there are green choices to be made. As a certified National Association of Realtor's Green Designee, Linda Schade has the knowledge, resources, and experience for your next Real Estate venture.

Why Go Green?

The U.S. Green Building Council writes, "Generally, green homes are healthier, more comfortable, more durable, and more energy efficient and have a much smaller environmental footprint than conventional homes." This not only can translate into savings for the homeowner, but may also enhance your home's future resale appeal.
