I started my career in the corporate world and then transitioned successfully to real estate sales, where I have built a strong, consistent business over 24 years through a variety of business cycles and market conditions.
Real-estate sales is essentially project management on steroids. At any given point, I am managing 12-20 projects – each with different objectives, different personalities, and different stakeholders – but each with a client who wants his or her project to be my first priority.
My success is based on how well I guide clients through the sales process and how well I close – and I do that well. I am successful because I do a great job of setting expectations with my clients – setting the right asking price, helping them understand market forces, and showing them the benefits of being flexible in how they market their homes – and because I leverage my extensive network to find the right buyer or seller. Buyers and sellers consistently talk about my responsiveness, knowledge, compassion, integrity, and ability to achieve (and drive) deadlines when they fill out the surveys after the sale has closed.
Success in real estate is truly a team effort, requiring great communications with other Realtors and strong coordination with inspectors, contractors, appraisers, mortgage lenders, and attorneys to ensure a hassle-free, smooth closing for all parties.
