Born and raised on a small farm in Iowa. At the age of 15 my family moved to Virginia. Like most kids in the 70’s and 80’s we played a lot outside and as a boy playing outside this included building things. We built forts and tree houses and bike ramps and so many other things, I am surprised I still have all my limbs.
I have always been fascinated with architecture. I first starting drafting houses when I was still in high school for a local builder in the late 80’s and continue today doing small floor plans and decks for friends and family.
During my high school days, I also worked for a large builder as a "punch-out man" doing home repair work in the Northern Virginia and Maryland area.
I have done all types of work in the housing industry to include building decks, landscaping, brick laying, home and mold Inspections, roofing, remodeling, painting, flooring and the list goes on.
I am currently a Supervisory IT Program Manager for the Federal Government in Washington, DC. I am fast approaching my eligibility to retire and believe my knowledge with IT can carry over to the housing market since IT is becoming a bigger part of our homes and in our everyday lives. A lot of homes have smart speakers such as Alexa or Google. These smart assistants help us do our daily tasks from providing traffic reports to turning off the lights. I live and breathe IT and absolutely love the smart technology. I have personally outfitted every room in my home with smart lighting and embrace my Smart Home.
I will still be very young when I retire and have no desire to golf or watch birds. A second career as a Realtor® only made sense since I still have a passion for the housing industry and have knowledge to share. I am excited to help you sell or buy your new home.
Working with me, you will also gain the backing of the Long & Foster family. That’s a family of real estate professionals across Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, from North Carolina to New Jersey. A family of brokerages around the world via corporate affiliations and partnerships. And a family of companies, from mortgage, title and insurance to relocation, property management and vacation rentals, all working together to help you find that place to call home.
