In late spring, the annual Devon Horse Show exhibits numerous types of horses and disciplines, such as Saddlebreds, Jumpers, and Friesians. People travel from across the United States for the show, which started in 1896 and is now the largest outdoor competition in the country. The event extends over a week and includes a fair and numerous family-friendly events. A Fall Spectacular occurs in September with a shorter equestrian show schedule. Several stables that offer horse-riding lessons are also in town.

On the north side of Devon, Pennsylvania, the 20-acre Jenkins Arboretum features a wide range of flowers, including rhododendrons and azaleas. Almost 100 types of songbirds can also be found on the property, as well as turtles, hawks, foxes and other small mammals. Plenty of arts culture can also be found in nearby Lafayette Hill and Villanova, such as the American Historical Theater.

The Devon restaurant scene is fairly small and consists primarily of cafes, as well as Chinese and Thai food. More cuisines such as Belgian, Italian, and French can be found nearby in Berwyn and Wayne, PA. Devon store Eastcote Lane offers refinished vintage furniture in addition to wares from several local artisans. King of Prussia Mall, which is five miles away from Devon and the second-largest shopping center in the United States, is a popular destination. Stores in the mall are a mix of high-end and middle-class.

The Devon Septa train station is served by the Paoli/Thorndale regional rail line and also makes stops along the main line, including Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Philadelphia. Two bus lines make stops in Devon, PA, and carry riders to Philadelphia's 69th street station.
