Long & Foster The Grisbaum Group

Team Leader - Douglas Grisbaum, Managing Broker, GRI,CRS

"Since I make Ocean City my home, I routinely see customers who have bought properties from me over the 32+ years I've been selling real estate. Nothing makes my day better than to hear a family tell me how happy they are with their property and how much fun the kids or grandkids are having."

Doug was born and raised in Ocean City and has been a lifelong resident of the seaside resort. He attended Blair Academy and graduated from Ocean City High School in 1982, then earned his degree from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro in 1986. During his high school days, Doug worked at Bert's Beach Rental, Fun City USA and Copper Kettle Fudge on the Boardwalk.

Doug has been married to his wife Epiphany, a partner at Fox Rothschild, LLP, for 24 years and they have three children: Devon is currently pursuing her Masters at Columbia after receiving her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt, Douglas is a student of the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, and Dolan is studying at Boston University.

Doug is a graduate of the New Jersey Realtor Institute (GRI), is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and has had advanced real estate training at Temple University Real Estate Institute. Doug was #1 in company Sales and Listings from 2001-2015 while at Berger Realty, and has been a multi-million-dollar producer since 1989. He has over one hundred million in production over his career thus far. Doug and his team made their move to Long & Foster in 2016 where they have established The Grisbaum Group as a diverse team of agents in Ocean City.

In addition to being a registered builder in the state of New Jersey, Doug specializes in waterfront development and construction. He is a member of the Ocean City Board of Realtors, the Executive Board of Directors of Professional Standards, and is a past president of the Ocean City Board of Realtors (2000).

Doug leads a highly active lifestyle and enjoys pool swimming and racing, open water swimming, water skiing and jet skiing, boating, racquetball, golf, snow skiing and attending Eagles games. He also likes to travel and walking his dogs on the beach.

"My passion is to be creative, and since almost every real estate transaction is different, I can use that to my advantage. Being able to improvise and adapt is important when there are so many moving parts in a transaction, such as the buyer, the seller, the bank, insurance policies, home inspections, appraisals, continuing certificate of occupancy, and summer lease transfers. Every sale has twists and turns and challenges. Just when I think I've seen everything, something new comes up, but that's what makes my profession so interesting. I love my job, and I think that shows each and every time I work with a buyer or seller. It's an honor to have a family choose me to represent them with such an important life decision. It's something I take very seriously."

Sales Associate - Ellwood "Woody" Paisley

Woody likes working in real estate because he enjoys sharing his knowledge of the shore with his clients. "I call it my island. I spent my childhood vacations here and never left." Having spent every summer here, Woody knows the ins and outs of the different neighborhoods and what they have to offer. So if a buyer is looking for a house close to the beach but not too close that parking is an issue, but also close to the shopping, parks and a good restaurant, Woody knows exactly where they can find the right home. After all, "location, location, location" is the mantra of a good real estate agent.

Woody and his wife, Susan, spent summer vacations in Ocean City with their children Ashley, Christopher, Nathan and Brandon. "I've been here every summer of my life. I've been through the '62 storm, all of the hurricanes. I have a lot of local knowledge that a veteran of the island would know about."

Born and raised in Haddon Heights, NJ, Woody graduated from Ursinus College in 1968 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, then served in the US Navy from 1968 to 1972.

After his long love affair with the resort, he finally moved to the area in 1979. Woody worked for Admiral Nissan in Egg Harbor Township from 1980-2016. He also worked for Berger Realty from 2000-2016 before joining The Grisbaum Group at Long & Foster Real Estate. Woody enjoys the process of finding the right home for a buyer. He loves Ocean City and loves to share his knowledge.

Outside of work, Woody enjoys ocean kayaking and watching the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Union.

Sales Associate - Kimberly Bailey

"I thoroughly enjoy showing people houses and finding the right fit for them. I like helping people find their dream beach home. I also love working for the seller to properly market a property. Being a very visual person, I am passionate about staging. It shows potential buyers how warm and inviting the home is which is a great selling tool for homeowners.”

Kim grew up in Galloway Township, NJ and spent summers on the beach and boardwalk in Ocean City, which created a lifelong love for the shore and a thorough knowledge of the island.

Kim's background is in retail management. In 2014, seeking financial independence, Kim earned her real estate license. Kim began working in Ocean City real estate and joined Long & Foster, The Grisbaum Group in 2016.
