The Nathaniel Irish House is one of the most distinctive of the area's historic sites. The row house was constructed during the 18th century by prominent carpenter Nathaniel Irish, who also built the adjacent Capt. Thomas Moore House. These structures and others built by Irish are part of Queen Village's South Front Street Historic District. Other notable historic buildings include the George Mifflin House, the William M. Meredith School, and the Sparks Shot Tower.
