There is a seasonal Avalon trolley that makes multiple stops throughout the neighborhood, and public buses also serve the area. Avalon Boulevard connects the island with the Garden State Parkway, which runs parallel to the coast throughout the entire state of New Jersey. You can also travel off the island using the New Jersey Transit bus service, with the 315 bus going to Philadelphia, approximately 80 miles away, and the 319 bus to Manhattan, a 100-mile journey.
