Raintree is close to the Monticello Wine Trail—an area with 30 wineries. Local grapes are grown in the region, and bottles of wine from here are sold around the world; the area is also known for its mountains and forests. Only 3.9 miles from Raintree, sports fans can visit John Paul Jones Arena, home to the Virginia Cavaliers men's and women's basketball teams.
