About Layla Tannous

A love for real estate sneaked up on Layla. She had no idea when she began more than ten years ago as partner with her mother, Realtor Rima Tannous, how personal a business this is and how much she would grow to care about her clients. She grew up watching Rima closely and learned a great deal from Rima’s real estate expertise and business acumen. While Layla embraces technology, she also cares passionately about the personal touch. Every day is a new, revitalizing day for Layla and her clients, friends and loved ones. With her very approachable personality, Layla has excelled in the business through referrals and expert knowledge, which she is constantly sharing with others.

Layla has always been dedicated to helping others. Her prior career was as a health researcher at the American University Hospital of Beirut. She was the first among her colleagues to launch a health campaign that reached the entire country.

In addition to her native English, Layla speaks French and Arabic. She embraces international travel and enjoys sharing her multicultural background in and out of the workplace and loves exploring emerging neighborhoods in the DMV. Ask her for a restaurant recommendation or an edgy place to shop! You’ll find she is easy to talk to and fun, as well! Her clients love her and the feeling is mutual.

WHY ME?

You probably have at least one or two friends who have a real estate license. I know I do. Notwithstanding that, selecting your agent is very personal and serious. Friends can be "candidate realtors" but there’s more to it than that. Don’t forget this is also a business relationship. It is intense - because buying and selling is intense. It is about trust and respect and privacy. It is about your wants and needs.

Curiously, I often know more about my clients than their mothers know! I need to know in order to help. You see, buying and selling are financial decisions but also very emotional decisions. How your home feels is terribly important. I love to watch and listen to my clients’ reactions to homes we visit. I’m good at separating the important stuff from the distractions and I love doing it.

Working with Rima (The Tannous Team?) we bring the best of both worlds. We are two generations with our own perspectives and tastes and ideas. We argue and disagree and come to similar conclusions from different starting points. Our clients are the beneficiaries of our differentness and our respect for each other. Along the way, the process is more fun than you might ever expect.

Things you should know about me…

· I’m a millennial but if you think I work a limited price range, think again. Working with Rima has taken me to many price points

· I have experience working with Embassies

· I speak French and Arabic as well as my native English

· I label myself as a ""Citizen of the World"

So how do we begin? Call me. Email me. Txt me. I’ll take it from there. Let’s make your dream a reality.
