Born and raised in Colorado, Jan relocated to Virginia Beach in 1982 where she started her career in Real Estate as the assistant to the owner of a small real estate firm. She got her license shortly thereafter and has been a full-time Property Manager ever since. After 29 years, Jan was persuaded to join our firm where she put her knowledge and skill to work doing what she likes best: helping owners take the stress out of owning rental property. Jan is involved in both the local and state real estate associations and is a strong believer in continuing education. Over the years she has received several awards for outstanding service, including the "Distinguished Property Manager" award consecutively since 1990, the "Distinguished Property Manager of the Year" award, and the "Virginia Association of Realtors Ann Swearingen Property Manager of the Year" award.

Her greatest love is her family, but she’s also known for her community volunteering.
