Prior to joining Long & Foster, Valerie worked for 30 years as an accountant for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Her experiences developing and overseeing relocation policy contributed to her longtime interest in real estate. She also had oversight of other multi-million-dollar programs, acquiring many skills that she now applies in her real estate business. Valerie is detail-oriented, with excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Hard-working and results-driven, she is committed to the highest level of client service. Valerie understands that real estate is about much more than buying and selling houses. It’s about providing clients invaluable assistance with their largest asset. It’s about helping them navigate the DC area’s active real estate market to achieve their goals. It’s about being a knowledgeable and trusted advisor.

Valerie is committed to giving back. When she’s not immersed in real estate, she is mentoring young women and perfecting her sign language skills to serve the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Valerie has been married to her husband Jason for 37 years. They have three sons, one daughter, and an adorable Yorkie named Coco. One of Valerie’s favorite pastimes is watching old movies with her daughter.
