My name is Grace Johnson

I was born and grew up in Goochland County Virginia. I attended the excellent Goochland County public schools and played basketball and softball with a great group of athleticwomen.

I have also lived in Ulm Neu, Germany, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rochester Hills, Michigan and Chesterfield, Virginia. I moved to Michigan to finish college when my son headed off to attend Hampton Sydney in Farmville Virginia. I finished college in Michigan through an acceleratedcollege program while working for Erb Lumber in their 52-week Management Training Program. The training program took you through each department from sales, management, and estimating to lumber deliveries and lumberyardyard loading. This was an extensive training program and it taught me alot about people and construction products. I even got a forklift licenseand loaded the delivery trucks with my team.

I started my real estate career in property management. I managed single family homes, condos and townhomes for over 35 investors. After returning to Virginia from Michigan, I became the first Sales Manager for one of Richmond's new up and coming local builders. I worked for this builder as the Sales Manager for seven years building a solid sales team and decorating numerous award winning models homes.

All my work experience, education and training lead me into real estate sales with Long and Foster Realtors. I understand the challenges of relocating to a new area and very much enjoy helping families find their home near the schools and amenitiesthey desire. I help my new construction clients make solid selections in decorative items and added value for lighting upgrades and location of added outlets, recessed lights and plumbing upgrades. My award winning designer background can assist my clients in creative color choices, window treatment and maximizestorage options. I use my knowledge to help all my Sellers and Buyers get the best value for their family. I will always be available to take calls from any of my clients during the selling or buying process and after the transaction as settled.
