Larry "Boomer” Foster is a Senior Vice-President of Long & Foster Real Estate,
Inc. The company is part of The Long & Foster Companies, which also includes
Prosperity Mortgage Company; Walker Jackson Mortgage Corporation; Long & Foster
Insurance Agency, Inc.; and Long & Foster Settlement Services.
Boomer brings a wealth of business experience and leadership skills to Long &
Foster. He is a trial lawyer by trade, with nearly eight years of experience in
that field practicing in South Carolina. He is licensed to practice in the Circuit
Court, Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of South Carolina as well as the United
States District Court for the District of South Carolina and the Fourth Circuit
Court of Appeals.
His background made it a natural for Boomer to succeed in the real estate business.
Becoming a sales associate with Long & Foster in 2006, he quickly rose from
a promising rookie to become a top producer in just his first year in the business.
In 2007, he was appointed as the branch manager of the Long & Foster Kingstowne
Centre Office in Alexandria, Va., where he further honed his skills in management,
recruiting, coaching, training and business development. Known for helping real
estate agents grow their businesses, the number of agents at Kingstowne Center more
than doubled during the time Boomer managed that office.
In 2010, he was tapped to take over as Regional Vice President for the Northern
Virginia Region, responsible for the management of 16 branch sales offices. In 2011,
he was appointed to his current position of Senior Vice-President.
Boomer is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he received an English
Degree in addition to his JD. As a sports enthusiast and a four year letterman for
the South Carolina Gamecocks, Boomer brings a competitive edge to everything he
does. Boomer is committed to providing Long & Foster sales associates with tools
and information they need to help them best meet the needs of today’s buyers and
sellers.
Boomer is a licensed broker in both Virginia and the District of Columbia. He and
his wife reside in Northern Virginia and have two children.
