Ellen Katz joined the Park Potomac office in Potomac, Md., as Managing Broker in December of 2012. She additionally took on the Potomac Village office during the spring of 2014. Ellen embraces an agent-first mentality coupled with energetic leadership and strong management skills.

Prior to joining Long & Foster, Ellen served as a Branch Manager for nine years with another Brokerage in the region. She began her Real Estate career in 1989 as a licensed Realtor in Maryland. She is currently an Associate Broker licensed in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. In addition, she holds the professional designation of Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI).

Ellen has consistently been recognized as a top producer during her sales career and as a top manager throughout her years in Real Estate. She has served as a member of the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors (GCAAR), on GCAAR’s Contract and Clauses Committee and was on the Board of Directors of GCAAR prior to taking her position with Long & Foster.

A native of Baltimore, she moved to Montgomery County, Md., after graduating with an honors degree in Consumer Economics and a minor in Economics from the University of Maryland. She is actively involved in community service work including organizing Potomac Day and Park Potomac’s ice cream social that collects backpacks and school supplies for underprivileged children in the greater Montgomery County area.
