Long & Foster offers full scholarships for real estate licensing classes to US Military
Veterans, active duty personnel and their spouses. Scholarship covers tuition and
text books for classroom classes offered by Long & Foster Institute and the Foster
Real Estate School
We can’t think of anyone we’d rather have on our team.
Wes Foster, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of the Long & Foster Companies
is not a stranger to military service. As a graduate of VMI, he served in the US
Army as an artillery officer. A veteran himself, Wes has chosen to demonstrate his
gratitude to those who serve in the US Military by providing active duty personnel,
honorably discharged veterans and the spouses of both groups with the opportunity
to complete state required classes to transition to a real estate career. All classes
are designed to meet the classroom hours of initial real estate education mandated
by the real estate licensing agency in the state in which the classes are held.
How the program works:
Eligible parties can contact a Long & Foster manager in the state or jurisdiction
in which they would like to be licensed. Managers will make a copy of either a military
ID or a DD 214 to submit to the school verification of eligibility. Once eligibility
has been confirmed, the manager can enroll you in class. The scholarship covers
the cost of tuition as well as the cost of any required books. Contact a Long &
Foster sales office manager near you to make application.

Classes are available in DC, DE, MD. NJ, and VA through the Long & Foster Institute
of Real Estate and in PA through the Foster Real Estate School.
It is our sincere desire that this will help those who would like to transition
from Military Service into a rewarding career in real estate. It is our way of giving
back to those who have given so much.
